15 ~ 19 September 2011
Photos were taken during my trip to HK with Chan Brothers Travel. It was a “5D Perfectly Delicious Hong Kong & Beyond with Chef Sam & Forest”. But I wonder why they use the word ‘delicious’, and do take note of the meal in Day 2 of the itineraries on the web.
Other than the food, the planning was also sucks.
Day 1 Macau
Had our lunch at HK airport before we transit to Macau.
The ferry going to Macau
Chaos at the baggage area at the Ferry terminal, Macau.
Coach view
The Great Wall of Macau?
Portuguese egg tart
Beggar? Can you guess how I took this shot?
Day 2 Zhu Hai
Zhu Hai…
Some lame place that we go in and watch a 15mins show and came out after that.
Zhu Hai at night (View from Hotel)
Day 3 Hong Kong
Still in Zhu Hai…
Ferry terminal to Hong Kong. We reached around 10am in the morning but the timing for the next ferry is 11am. We reached Hong Kong around 12:40pm.
Hong Kong…
Journey from the ferry terminal to the lunch area is a long way. We reach the Ngong Ping Cable Car station at slightly pass 2pm. From here we take a ride up to Lantau Island (Lantau Island).
Walking to our lunching area
This is where we had our late lunch at 3pm, the famous vegetarian food of Lantau Island. Time check 15:10. Lunch served at 15:20.
After lunch, no time to sight-seeing, we need to rush to catch the last cable car ride. Photos taken along the way back to the station.
Straight after lunch we were heading for dinner at Lamma Island (南丫島)
Ferry to Lamma Island
Sun setting
Dinner served at 19:30, 4hours after lunch.
Hotel room with see through bathroom
My last shot before sleep. I was a very tiring day. We spent most of our time on the travelling and eating. Nothing else.
Day 4
Visited their wet market, it’s like our wet market when I was a kid.
Live fishes
They have library in the market!
Our so called HK style high tea
And guess where were we having it? Road side with NO proper seats… felt like beggars! Have their ever considered those elderly?
Ok cooking time. So here is them….
If you ask me if the drunken prawn prepared was nice. Not to me!
Went up to Victoria Peak for some wanton noodle.
Mak’s noodle
Nice? Well… no. I was expecting something nicer, but this was so normal. Nothing special.
View from the top…
Photos taken from Mobile Phone (Nexus S)
This was at the airport, it taste the same as the one we had at Victoria Peak.
Ferry ticket to Macau
Mono rail from HK airport to Ferry terminal
On the way to temple in Macau…
Hotel in Macau
Zhu Hai…
OK! This is what they called Buddha Jump over the wall? Simple herbal soup with Chicken feet and Sea cucumber with mushroom. Felt cheated!
Day 5
We went to a shopping mall called City Gate before our flight back to Singapore. We were told there is a IT outlet, but IT outlet don’t sell IT stuffs, but appeals… (http://www.citygateoutlets.com.hk/shopping/details/Pages/I.T%20Outlet.aspx).
REAL STUFF
Heard that somebody complained and we were asked to go for an additional full course dinner with the REAL BUDDHA JUMP OVER THE WALL at Orchard Central a few weeks later.Photos: ksong
